So. All that stuff I posted before? Forget all that. Turns out basing an Empire army around Landschneckt is like basing Bretonnians around King Arthur. It's sort of the basis of the army. But half of the fun getting to that realization was the research. One of the biggest joys I get from doing these armies is I get an excuse to really dig into something and do some research.
So, scratch the landschnekt, but focus more on Manann's Blades and (for the most part) Spanish Galleons and other period warships for the display.
The team tournament army will be rather interesting - Chaos Dwarves and Ogres. I am doing a display that is a large underground cavern with a landscape "above ground" above that.
