Intermission!

Several massive projects in the works, here, there and generally taking over the place as they do in summertime. Unusual for me to go more than a few weeks without an update, so here are some pretty pictures of a couple recent commissions going at it for the time being.  

Also need to officially announce I will be at Gencon 2015 in Indianapolis!  At the Cool Mini booth again, I am working on a display similar to the Marienburger for their new Rum and Bones board game being released at the event.  As always come and say hello if you are going!

Tau Invasion!

Good afternoon, friends. Here is an army commission I just finished for your viewing pleasure.  This time a Tau infantry force with a little bit of everything; lots of Forge World and suit conversions are included.  The scheme is simple but powerful, with the contrast between the blue and the basing as well as the multiple brown natural tones hand shaded into all of the grey.

Very happy with how these turned out, continuing the effort to push the bleeding edge of my own skill with each new army. Already excited for the next one, and if you are interested in reaching out for an army project just drop me a line!

Hey all!  

Another post - another army! This time around it is an Admech army that counts as Tau in game.  Lots of Fire Warriors, suits, drones, and one Riptide.  The display is based on Forge World boards build up from kit bashing and scratch.  It features a working Android tabled, which plays an animated slideshow as army nameplate.  The building roofs remove for access to LED wiring, but the switches are mounted in windows to allow for easy access.

Welcome to Flashback Friday, where I revisit old armies I have painted from the past.  I have painted thousands of models and who knows how many huge armies on commission, and each one holds a special place in my heart. I enjoy looking back every once in a while at the photos and remembering the joys and struggles, the hard work and the pure enjoyment of making someone's vision a reality. But enough of that emotional stuff, let's get on with it!

Fresh Paint Showcase - Huge N'dras Sept Tau Army

Happy New Year to everyone, and welcome to the third moon of N'dras!  This is a temperate climate themed army, and an official Games Workshop color scheme.

The customer gave me free reign on this army, and out of two schemes I have always wanted to do, I went with this one knowing his taste in colors.

Fresh Paint Showcase - Tau Vehicle Mob

Hey all!

This newest project is a mass of rumbling Tau vehicles!  This batch was painted to match an existing color scheme. The Tiger Shark and Barracuda squadron is quite impressive looking on the table.
