Adepticon is Coming!

It's that time of the year! The end of November has three traditions around these parts - Thanksgiving, frantically registering for Adepticon, and buying up all the supplies for this year's crazy project.  This is my favorite time of year, and I am only a few projects away from starting the Golden Throne.

I won't have to worry about registration this year however, although I was told they have a nice new cart system.  I decided to opt out of playing anything this year and simply socialize and hang out with friends from the tournament scene and social media, as well as a few clients who will be playing with projects I have finished this year.  I will be playing a few games, but mostly late night, non-official things.

It will be a nice change of pace considering I barely have time to meet and talk with friends when playing fills the day.

Really looking forward to this year, and hope to see you there as well as here watching as Throne 2.0 takes shape.  I will be posting some recaps of dusty work in progress images from last year in the coming weeks in the lead up to the big start, so be sure to follow on Twitter. Until next time!

Showcase: Showdown - Tau Attack

Welcome to Showcase: Showdown, where I take a break from painting and just have some fun taking pictures with some models I have painted!  My love for modelling goes back to childhood, where I got the most enjoyment just setting things up in interesting and dynamic ways.  I try and incorporate this in every step of army building from posing individual models up to how an army looks displayed.  So every once in a while it is fun to just go wild, throw the rules out the window and pose a snapshot of some random battle in the game's universe.

I found this lost set while adding a Showdown section to the gallery (Which you should go visit! I had not realized how many of these I have done.)  A blast from the past, I miss the N'dras Tau.

Never mess with Marines!  Especially if they ride huge motorcycles with wheels the size of a tractor tire.  These traitors are learning the hard way you don't attack a Marine biker gang's garage.

I Went Outside Today

I went out and saw Waldo riding a dragon. Little did he know, I saw him. Silly Waldo, you can't hide on a dragon.

To the rooftops!  Usually these are one faction on one, but I took advantage of the new Chaos Marines to do a slugfest of Emperor's Scythes and Dark Angels versus Sons of Malice and Thousand Sons.  Watch your step!

Nurgle Dueling Coasters Display Part 1

Hey all,

The second display I am working on for next year is one for the Fantasy team tournament.  This is a doubles 1000 point per army event.  We had originally gone for a carnival theme, but this bit of inspiration hit me when trying to figure out a way to make room for more displays.
