The Thunderbelch Tribe - Part Two - An Ogre Army

Hello out there!

Another project down.  This time Ogre Kingdoms.  A part two from way back when, and square bases.  So nostalgia all around.  Let's just get into it.

This is part two of a project I did the first round of way back in 2014. Not long ago but at the same time forever. I've painted quite a few models since then.

You might remember the original when seeing the images.  It still holds up well, and they showed up in the photos and backdrop at Adepticon.  The client needed some new models and new paint.  Who I am if not a romantic up for a challenge, and off I went.  Some really cool things including some unique Sabretusks, the new Gnoblars, and a pile of printed characters to pretty much cover anything you'd ever want.  Plus, the big critters everyone likes, and the challenge to match them up in my style ten years of experience later but the same heart.

One thing I have to say is, it is very special when a square base army holds up to the photogenicity of a 40k army, and the past few I have done.  Part of that is the sculpt choices, and how much fun these models are. Part of it is the new backdrop, which worked out well and nice to have a new replacement fantasy sort of backdrop in the roster. Part of it as well is the paint.

Overall a really great time with the army and client.  A great challenge between the difference of then and now and the variety of models, and colors of the army.  A good time, and one I will remember as much as the first round and am equally as grateful to have come my way.

See you next time.
