Hello out there!
New photography backdrop finished - Skullkyll Valley. A quiet place for all your minions.
The seed of the idea was one part wanting a new fantasy display that was generally "chaotic neutral." One part the fact I am working on an Ogre army that is very sentimental, and want to send this second half off with a bang. The original army from way back in something like 2014, was on my "cathedral" backdrop, which was sentimental, lost in the fire, but most importantly it just worked very well as a catch all display for anything fantasy. It looked good on it's own, but also put forward like a jewel on black velvet any fantasy army I put on it. You did not really notice it, but if you looked, it sure looked great.
So with all that in mind, I really put the screws to the idea of a neutral but fantasy display that will work to debut this project, but also give future projects the same shine the cathedral did. Fun on it's own, but a great stage for the more important armies I photograph.
I feel pretty good that so far in making new displays, each new one is my new favorite. I also enjoy so far a renewed desire to make them all fully finished and I think that is being really rooted for the first time in a long while. Everything is up from here and I enjoy it. Including the finished Ogres that go on this.
