Adepticon 2013 Blog Part 2

Adding a little booty to the boat.

A gallon of spackling.  I have 3 and will probably use all of it, especially on the team tournament display.

Running a bead of caulk along the edge of the added foam to help secure it.

The edge fully filled.  This will be sanded smooth later.

Lining up and cutting the foamcore to hold the units when they are finished.  The holes will be magnetized and the top of the foamcore flush with the top of the bases.

Filling in this awkward gap.

Cutting up all the boards from plastic strips.  Each strip had the edge roughed up and then cut into 4 strips - 3 good whole planks and a dud for edging and odd places.

Testing out placements.  The top one is closest to what I chose, but swap the small block on teh forecastle for the big halberd block in the middle.

Filler, filler, filler.  I think I broke something here.

The ship's shipping palette for shipping on the ship!  Needs rivets.

Team display is coming along.  The door is a Ziterdes dock all hacked up. :)

Until next time!
