Flashback Friday - Adepticon Charity World Eaters

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Flashback Friday, where I revisit old armies I have painted from the past.  I have painted thousands of models and who knows how many huge armies on commission, and each one holds a special place in my heart. I enjoy looking back every once in a while at the photos and remembering the joys and struggles, the hard work and the pure enjoyment of making someone's vision a reality. But enough of that emotional stuff, let's get on with it!

The army up this time is last year's Adepticon Charity army.  With Adepticon 2014 right around the corner I figured it as good time as any to revisit last year's project in anticipation of this year's starting up soon.  If you are going, be sure to pick up a few tickets for a chance to win a similar army - and it's for a great cause!

The characters are comprised of an Angron and two Champions.  A bit of conversion and different paint on the second kit to make it less similar.

Plenty of Terminators to go around, using the World Eaters Forge World kits.  All bases by Dragon Forge Design.

Chain axe wielding marines with Forge World upgrades and a few Berserkers make up the Troops of this army

The addition of Raptors and Obliterators add very different but much needed variety from the core Troops.

Two Dreadnoughts - A World Eaters Contemptor and massive Decimator round out the Heavy Support choices.

Two transports for the army - a Land Raider and Rhino.  Plastic strips, bits, and careful cuts were used to add the gold spiked plating details to the vehicles.

Hope you enjoyed my walk down memory lane.  Keep up with my latest work on Facebook if you like!
